We just need the room type (Single / Twin / Triple sharing) and the advance deposit payment and we’ll block the room for you.

  2. What do different room types mean

A quick overview of the different room types available are

    1. Private / Single room – With this option there is no need to share as you sleep and study, entire room is your own. It also comes with en-suite.
    2. Twin sharing room – This room sleeps two in separate beds with separate wardrobes. Bathroom is shared with your room mate. Perfect if you like a social environment or have a buddy at Christ university.
    3. Triple sharing room – This room sleeps three in separate beds with separate wardrobes. Separate keys are also provided. If you have friends at Christ college living in one of the Pelagia hostels, we can arrange to accommodate all of you in the same room or rooms close to each other.

  3. Can I visit the hostel before I book
Absolutely. We have staff at the reception whole day from 7am to 9:30pm. You can drop in during these hours for viewing. If you would like a senior management to be present, just give us 30 mins notice so we can arrange it.

  4. What does the rent include? Do I need to pay any extras?
Your rent includes accommodation in the chosen room type apart from breakfast, lunch and dinner. It also includes coffee and tea. The hostel is just opposite to the back entrance of Christ university and many students prefer to come back for lunch in the hostel canteen. Wifi, Satellite TV, hot water, Laundry, housekeeping services are also included as standard.

  5. Can I speak to someone who speaks my language?
We have a diverse staff who speaks multiple languages. In total our staff can speak 12 languages so the chances are that we can speak yours too! If you call us then just inform the staff and they will re-direct your call to someone who can speak your language.

  6. When should I book my accommodation?
A common issue for first year students is that you can’t know which university you will be attending until you get your results. Often you don’t want to leave you booking until the last minute as the hostel may get sold out. You should book your accommodation as soon as you know you are taking up the course at Christ university. We will try our best to help you even if there is a delay in booking but you have more flexibility earlier on.

  7. What if I only need accommodation for a short term?
Generally there a minimum term of 1 year for Christ university student accommodation. Short term accommodation is possible but this will be confirmed by staff at the point of enquiry and prices are different (usually higher) compared to that for student accommodation.

  8. What precautions are taken by the hostel for coronavirus
We follow government Covid guidelines issued by the govt of Karnataka. Sanitation stations are placed all over the building and the staff wear masks at all times and all students are encouraged to follow the guidelines.
